The license exam, in short

How many questions are in the driver's license theory exam?

The app's mock exam uses 40 questions with 30 to pass for non-professional, and 60 with 45 to pass for professional licenses and the conductor's license, with no time limit. LTO publishes no question count, pass mark or time for the exam, so these are the commonly reported figures — an estimate, and the app says so.

Can I review in Filipino (Tagalog)?

Yes. All 1,357 questions exist in English and in Filipino, and you can switch any time in Settings. 75 Filipino questions are in LTO's own Filipino wording; the other 1,282 are our translations.

Does it cover the CDE online validation exam?

Yes: 25 questions, 20 (80%) to pass, no time limit — the format LTO's LTMS page states — drawn from 116 CDE items and open to every license track.

Which licenses does it cover?

Non-professional (A/A1 motorcycle, B/B1/B2 car) with 789 questions, professional light vehicles with 274, professional heavy vehicles with 189, and the conductor's license with 105 — in each language.

Where do the questions come from?

Mostly from LTO's own published reviewers — the 2018 non-professional, professional light, professional heavy and conductor questionnaires, the 2019 Filipino reviewer and the reviewer inside the Filipino Drivers Manual Vol. 1 (2021) — plus vetted third-party reviewer sets (ltoportal.ph, myltotracker.ph) and 16 CDE items written from LTO's own CDE modules. Of the English bank, 1,070 questions are LTO-origin and 271 are third-party.

Are there explanations for the answers?

No. The Philippine question pack has answer keys without explanations. Questions that matter most for safety carry a Safety badge.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free and supported by ads, with no in-app purchases. There is no account: your progress stays on your device. The question pack is about 51 MB per language and works offline once downloaded.

English bank: 1,070 LTO-origin questions, 271 third-party, 16 written from LTO's CDE modules. Filipino bank: 75 in LTO's own Filipino wording, 1,282 translated by us. The same 1,357 questions exist in both languages.
