Questions and answers

Thailand's theory test, in short

How many questions are in Thailand's driving theory test?

50 questions. You need 45 correct — 90% — within 60 minutes. That is the format DLT publishes, and the app's mock exam uses it. Some websites say 50 minutes; the published figure is 60.

Is the test different for cars and motorcycles?

No. Car and motorcycle candidates answer from one combined question bank, so the app has one bank and skips the licence-class step for Thailand.

Where do the practice questions come from?

They are all 327 questions of DLT's own practice bank (safedrivedlt.com), with DLT's own answer keys, in its 11 categories. Nothing is authored or translated. They are practice-bank questions: the app does not claim to hold the questions of the live examination.

Can I practise in English?

Not yet. The test itself can be sat in Thai or in English, but the app's question bank is Thai only for now. The menus can be switched to English, and a Thai–English bank is first on the roadmap, with no date yet.

Are there explanations for the answers?

No. The practice bank gives answer keys without explanations, and the app adds nothing of its own to it.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free and supported by ads, with no in-app purchases. There is no account: your progress stays on your device.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the question pack (about 14 MB) is downloaded. You need internet to choose a country and to download or update a pack.
