The KPP01 theory test: format, pass mark and KPP Gabungan
How long each paper is, what it takes to pass, which language you can sit it in — and what no one publishes. Every figure is stated with its source.

Paper formats
The KPP01 computer test has one paper per sitting. A learner taking one class — motosikal (kelas B) or motokar (kelas D) — answers 50 questions, 42 to pass, in 45 minutes. KPP Gabungan, for learners taking both classes, has 70 questions, 56 to pass, 75 minutes. These figures are from JPJ's FAQ on the KPP Gabungan module, updated 31 July 2025. The app's mock paper uses the KPP Gabungan format:

Classes covered
The app covers motosikal kelas B and motokar kelas D. Both practise from the same 634 theory questions and take the same mock paper, in the format of KPP Gabungan — JPJ's combined paper for both classes, offered since 29 August 2025. A learner sitting one class faces a shorter paper at JPJ, so the app's paper is the longer of the two.
The questions are our own
JPJ does not publish a KPP01 question bank. The app's 662 questions are our own question bank, written for practice in Bahasa Melayu, with our own English translation. 142 carry a picture and 44 have pictures as answer options. There are no explanations.
The 634 theory questions are sorted into JPJ's 6 chapter topics. The headings are JPJ's; which topic a question sits in is our editorial choice:

The 28 eyesight items — Ishihara plates, shapes, number plates and colours — are practised on their own and never appear in a mock paper.
Language
The test can be sat in Malay or in English nationwide. The app's questions come in both: the Malay text and our own English translation of it — choose the question language in Settings. Words inside the pictures stay in Malay. The menus come in six languages.
Practising with the app
Exam draws a fresh 70-question paper under the KPP Gabungan rules: the 75-minute clock and the 56-correct pass mark. Practice by topic works through JPJ's 6 chapter topics with a mastery bar for each, and the eyesight items have their own section. Weak spots brings back the questions you last got wrong, Bookmarks the ones you saved, and Readiness shows coverage, mastery, pace and your recent exams.
