The KPP01 theory test: format, pass mark and KPP Gabungan

How long each paper is, what it takes to pass, which language you can sit it in — and what no one publishes. Every figure is stated with its source.

Questions are in Bahasa Melayu for now; the app's menus can be switched to English. A Malay–English question bank is second on the roadmap, with no date yet.

Classes covered

Motosikal kelas B, motokar kelas D, and KPP Gabungan, the combined paper for both classes that has been offered since 29 August 2025. In the app each learner sees only the practice sets of their own class.

The questions are our own

JPJ does not publish a KPP01 question bank. The app's 662 questions are our own question bank, written for practice, in Bahasa Melayu. 142 carry a picture and 44 have pictures as answer options. There is no topic split and there are no explanations.

The questions are arranged in 27 numbered practice sets in the JPJ format — 10 motosikal, 10 motokar, 7 KPP Gabungan — built to JPJ's paper sizes. 19 of the 27 are 1–3 questions short, because picture-less items were removed; each set's label states its real size, for example "Set 5 — motokar (47 soalan)", and the app scales the pass mark and the time. A random paper always has the full count. Set 11 is an eyesight set of 28 items.

Language

The test can be sat in Malay or in English nationwide. The app's question bank is Bahasa Melayu only for now; its menus come in six languages, including English. A Malay–English question bank is second on the roadmap, with no date yet.

Practising with the app

Exam offers a random paper or one of your class's practice sets, timed, with your best score kept for each set. All questions works through every question of your class. Weak spots brings back the questions you last got wrong, Bookmarks the ones you saved, and Readiness shows coverage, mastery, pace and your recent exams.

The question pack is about 4 MB. It downloads once and then works offline.
